Department Overview
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2009. The Department consistently and competently drives towards excellence with a strong emphasis on the holistic development of the students. The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department grooms the multidisciplinary powers of the students and enhances their skill set by providing practical training, workshops and research in the frontiers of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Industrial Automation, Power Electronics and Drives, Electric Vehicle, Embedded systems, Solar Energy, Wind Energy, IoT, Power System Protection, Micro/Smart grid etc. The department has state-of-the-art laboratories in almost all the frontiers of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department has the latest simulation tools in its laboratories to cater to various specializations and is equipped with facilities for measurement, characterization and synthesis of experimental as well as theoretical results. It opens a wide spectrum of opportunities for placement in dream companies not only limited to his area of study. This is evident in the consistent placement record of over 80% every year in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Excellent infrastructure, expert faculty members and enthusiastic students have also made remarkable contributions to product development, patents and paper publications. The students are encouraged and motivated to take up challenging projects. Summer training, industrial visit and projects are carefully planned for the students to remain updated with the technology trend. Seminars and short courses are regularly organized to update the students with the latest in the education and industry trends.

Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Aryan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. As a well-known fact, we cannot imagine the world without electricity, and nowadays, electrical and electronic devices have become an essential and inevitable part of our daily lives. The Department's focus is to train our students to get strong academic knowledge in the frontier areas of electrical and electronics engineering and also to make the students ready to face real-world challenges. The Department has a rich blend of young and highly experienced regular and visiting faculty members, mostly holding PhD from reputed Universities. The faculty members display a high level of dedication and enthusiasm towards both teaching and state-of-the-art research.
The Department faculty have sound knowledge in emerging research areas like Adaptive & Robust control schemes for power electronic applications, High voltage power systems, Electrical machines and drives, Control of electric vehicles and energy management, Power system optimization and Active distribution networks, Home energy management and Smart grid technologies. Our faculty members are continuing their respective research projects and publishing their research articles in reputed national and international journals. The department is active in organizing the various workshops and seminars for the growth and development of faculty and students’ research knowledge further. Our department students are also highly encouraged to implement their innovative research ideas with the help of expert faculty members and the available standard research lab facilities in the department.
At present, the Department offers a two-year Master’s Degree programme in Power System Engineering, a four-year undergraduate programme (B.Tech) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. These programmes provide a wide range of career opportunities in power industries, Government PSUs, R&D units, IT industries, electricity boards/utility companies, telecommunications industries, manufacturing industries, private industrial firms, and startup companies.

- PO1 - Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- PO2 - Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
- PO3 - Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
